The Establishment of Himgiri Zee University in Uttarakhand Was Driven by the Vision of Empowering the Youth and Addressing the Future Demand for Skilled and Trained Manpower in India. Aligned With the Government’s Efforts to Enhance Skill Development Through Programs Like Kaushal Vikas Yojna, the University Was Established Under Act 17 of 2003 of the State Legislative Assembly, Government of Uttarakhand (Act 2003, Uttarakhand Adhiniyam Sankhya 17 of 2003).
The Mission of HZU is to Provide Inclusive Education to All Sections of Society, Without Discrimination Based on Caste or Creed, Guided by the Motto of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (World as Family). Registered in 1996 as a Literary, Scientific, and Charitable Trust, the “Taleem Research Foundation” Initiated the Establishment of a Private University in Dehradun, Which Came Into Existence in 2005 as Himgiri Zee University (Formerly Himgiri Nabh Vishwavidyalaya), Dehradun, With the Aim of Fostering Education and Research.
