The Northcap University is a private institution that has received approval from the University Grants Commission (UGC). Initially established in 1996 as an engineering institute by the Educate India Society, registered under the Registration of Societies Act of 1860, it has since expanded to become a full-fledged university. The university provides its students with access to the National Academic Depository (NAD) facility, which allows for the digital storage of degree certificates in a government-approved digital locker. This feature is not commonly available at other institutions.
The Library & Information Resource Centre (LIRC) at The NorthCap University is recognized as one of the premier private university libraries in Delhi-NCR. With a vast collection of over 100,000 volumes covering a wide range of topics in engineering, law, sciences, and management, the LIRC offers its users the latest and most modern services, such as online access to journals and e-books, WEBOPAC facility, and federated search engine ‘KNIMBUS,’ which provides a single-window approach to all subscribed resources.
As part of its innovative learning system, NCU has introduced an e-learning portal, the Learning Management System (LMS), to supplement traditional classroom teaching. This system provides students with online access to the course content offered at the university, as well as important academic information, including lecture notes, recommended readings, tutorial sheets, and assignments. We encourage students to use this portal to prepare themselves before attending class, enabling them to gain a better understanding of complex concepts.
